Summary: This stay was a huge blessing to our family. If you're looking for fancy, it may not be the best fit for you. But if you're looking for a cozy, comfortable, clean home with fun character, this fits the bill! The hosts, Karen and Jim, are the most hospitable people. They are so welcoming and helpful! My kids loved the pond/ lake, and were allowed to use the Jon boats. SO fun! The back porch is the perfect place of serenity, with a lovely view. The kitchen was super well- stocked with equipment and supplies. They have every cooking and serving item on hand. I'd recommend you do your grocery shopping on your way in, in a bigger town or city, since there aren't any full grocery stores nearby. Very few restaurants nearby, either, so prepare to drive a little ways if you aren't cooking. We loved all the little cozy nooks in the house, where one could tuck away to read or lounge. The Floorplan is unique... the bathroom isn't connected to the main bedroom.... but that didn't bother us. Thank you, Youngs, for sharing your house and property with us!

Summary: This was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed! didn't even see one spider web! Very well stocked! So very tranquil sitting out on the screened porch! The trees were magnificent! We had wanted to just have a few days of relaxation and this fit the bill perfect! We enjoyed visiting with the two resident ducks and feeding them some crackers. And Samson, the residents dog, was such an awesome dog! It was just what we had hoped the get away would be! Perfect!

Summary: The property was absolutely perfect. Quiet, serene, relaxing, homey and very comfortable for the visit. Pictures were accurate the decorations were lovely. Small details like decorating for upcoming holidays to a local pet that visits with visitors! The screened in porch with the decorative lights overlooking the lake was the perfect location for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to make our visit feel like home. Will make this a return location for our next visit.

Summary: The property and the cabin is so beautiful and so cozy! We loved every minute of it! The house is stocked completely with everything you could need. Karen and her husband are the most precious people. My daughter loved Ducky the duck and Sampson the dog. Definitely the perfect getaway.

Summary: The cabin was wonderful and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Everything was perfect during our stay. There were two full bathrooms—one with a tub and one with a shower. Neither were connected to a bedroom. It wasn’t a problem but just a different type of building design.

Summary: What a wonderful visit to Karen’s cabin. Staying here was a blood pressure lowering experience that melted our cares away. When you drive up and see the wooded yard with screen porch and fire pit, it instantly puts you in vacation mode. The kids loved meeting the friendly duck who met us at the back of the house, and escorted us to the pond. That was our first time feeding a duck and no it didn’t bite! The owners have truly thought of everything inside this house from the emergency fire blanket, coffee pods, crockpots, ample towels, toiletries, toys for the kids, Pack N Play, highchair, flat irons, etc. They even have enough throw blankets in the living room for all of your guest. They have stocked this house for renters as if it was their own family staying. The communication was wonderful. The ease of the door code was perfect. We felt ultra safe on this property, especially with Sampson the dog roaming around outside, and the property was easy to find. We were just down the street it seems from our family who were staying at Callaway Gardens. I don’t know why anyone would stay at a hotel when you can stay at a lovely home like Karen’s cabin in Hamilton. Thank you for a great experience and for sharing your perfect home with us. Highly recommend.
